Showbigg Entertainment & World Cinema Partners Announce Their First Bengali Venture Phire Esho Anuradha

Kolkata, 20 March, 2026: The city of melody and memories is about to find a new rhythm. Showbigg Entertainment and World Cinema Partners proudly announce their first Bengali film yenture, Phire Esho Anuradha . Celebrate Memories o Melodies With RD Burman, directed by Ashish Kumar. Marking the beginning of this evocative journey, the makers hosted a grand Muhurat ceremony at NT1 Studio, Tolly gunge ahead of the film's shoot, ushering in a project steeped in nostalgia, romance and timeless music. The Muhurat was attended by the lead actors Neel Bhattacharya, Adrit Roy, John Bhattacharya, Angana Roy & Biswanath Basu along with other cast & crew members.

At its heart, Phire Esho Anuradha - Celebrate Memories & Melodies With RD Burman is a heartfelt ode to the genius of Rahul Dev Burman - a name that continues to echo across generations. The film brings alive the spirit of his music through a poignant narrative that blends love, friendship, and longing.

The stor) follows Rahul, Dev, and Burman three inseparable triends bound by their shared passion for RD - Burman's music. His songs are not just melodies to them, but the very language of their bond. Life, however, takes a tender and complicated turn when all three find themselyes falling in love with the same woman, Anuradha - mysterious, enchanting and seemingly born out of an RD Burman composition. As emotions deepen and relationships are tested, the film unfolds as a lyrical journey through love, nostalgia, and the enduring magic of music.

Helmed by director Ashish Kumar, who has also co-written the film with Samyukta Ghosh, the project brings together a talented technical team including DOP, Ramyadip Saha, Production Designer, Ranajit Gorai, and Editor, Kaustav Chakraborty. The film's music, an integral soul of the narrative, is helmed by Shiladitya - Som, with Sa Re Ga Ma as the official music partner.

"Phire Esho Anuradha is a film about nostalgia, love, friendship and life, set to the music of RD Burman. The character of Anuradha has been imagined keeping in mind the spirit of RD's iconic compositions. Audiences will also witness the cinematic presence inspired by Ruby Ray from the eternal song 'Mone Pore Ruby Ray' a figure etched in popular imagination for decades. We will be using 7 original Bengali song composed and sung by RD Urman along with a couple of new songs in the film. As a lifelong admirer of RD Burman, this film has been close to my heart for years. It is both a tribute and a rediscovery - bringing his timeless music to a new generation while allowing older audiences to relive a cherished era", said Director, Mr Ashish Kumar.

The film features a dynamic ensemble including Neel Bhattacharya Adrit Roy, John Bhattacharya, cast Angana Roy and Biswanath Basu, with a special appearance by Raima Sen as Ruby Roy, adding a touch of timeless allure to the narrative.
