The popular Bollywood comedy duo, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, famous for the 'Fukrey' franchise, are returning to the silver screen with a new comedy film. This time, their film is titled 'Rahu Ketu'. The teaser for the movie, which was recently released, has already generated great curiosity among the audience. What the Teaser Revealed

The released teaser opens with actor Piyush Mishra in a mysterious, almost spiritual avatar. He clearly knows something about 'Dasha' and 'Disha' that is beyond the common person's imagination. Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma then enter the scene. After a chance encounter with Piyush Mishra, they are suddenly transformed into the modern 'Rahu' and 'Ketu'.

With the caption, "Naye Saal mein ho jao taiyaar, kyunki badlegi aapki dasha aur disha jab life mein aayenge Rahu Ketu" (Get ready in the new year, because your period and direction will change when Rahu Ketu enter your life), the teaser shows a glimpse of the 'cosmic chaos' in their lives. The visuals are a hilarious blend of comedic elements and astrological concepts, suggesting that fate is not going to take the straight path, but a completely twisted one. Expectations of the Lead Actors

Pulkit and Varun, known for their comic timing in the 'Fukrey' series, are working together again in this film. Pulkit Samrat expressed his excitement about the film, saying, "We had a blast shooting this hilariously chaotic film. We can't wait for the audience to see what we've cooked up." Varun Sharma added, "The moment I heard the name Rahu Ketu, I knew it was going to be completely different from anything else we've done - and the experience was just that!" The Director's Vision

'Rahu Ketu' is written and directed by Vipul Vig, who is known for the screenplay of the 'Fukrey' series. This marks his directorial debut. Vipul Vig said, "Astrology has always fascinated me, and reimagining it with humour and heart was something I was keen to explore. Working with Varun and Pulkit again after writing the 'Fukrey' movies - this time as a director - felt both familiar and exciting. Making 'Rahu Ketu' as my first feature film as a director has been nothing short of a magical experience."

Release Date

Produced by Zee Studios and BLive Productions, the film is set to bring a unique package of folklore, situational comedy, and sharp social commentary. If all goes well, the movie will be released in cinemas on January 16, 2026.
