Platform 8 Announces The Mega Releases For 2026

Kolkata, 16th December, 2025: Platform 8, an OTT platform of one of the leading General Entertainment Channel Of Bengal, Aakash Aath, today unveiled their much awaited list of seven new exciting web series to mark 2026 as a power packed entertainment year for the audience of Bengal. The Press Conference which was held today at Nandan were graced by the eminent actors and directors including, Haranath Chakraborty, Avijit Guha, Fahim Mirza, Bias Dhar, Rahul Deb Bose, Durbar Sharma, Averi Sinha Roy, Sourav Saha, Shanoli Chattopadhyay, Sumit Kumar Roy, Debraj Bhattacharya, Ishani Sengupta, Korok Samanta, Shankar Debnath, Anindita Bhadra, Rana Basu Thakur, Lokenath Dey, Disha Dasgupta, Pradip Dhar, Taranga Sarkar, Pushan Dasgupta, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Arshiya Mukherjee, Megha Chowdhury, Debi Saha, Rishabh Chakravorty, Sushovon Das, Rahool Mukherjee, Arijeet Toton Chakraborty and the Director of Aakash Aath & Platform 8, Ms Priyanka Bardia.

The trailers and posters of the upcoming OTT releases Ichchepuran, Khanikta Premer Moton, Nisith Sen and Swargarath Sargaram were showcased in the star-studded evening giving a glimpse of the gripping tale of each of them. Apart from these, Platform 8 is also coming up with three another new launches titled, Morali, Patal Jhor and Amar, all of which are of unique story lines and a stellar cast.

Nisith Sen is a spine chilling, paranormal thriller which will narrate the tale of Indra, Maya and Brishti. Indra is a courageous police officer who often gets transferred to different locations for his work. After a few days of his recent posting, his only daughter Brishti starts witnessing mysterious dreams. A horrifying figure named Nisith Sen completely captures her mind and soul. As a result, Brishti detaches from her regular routine. The shocking identity of Nisith Sen, Brishti’s unfortunate connection with the strange figure and the shocking revelations of the parapsychologist, Ms Ira Mitra will form an impressive plot of the web series.

Directed by Sushobhon Das, Nisith Sen casts Sumit Kundu as Nisith Sen, Fahim Mirza as Indra, Ankita Majhi as Maya, Bias Dhar as Brishti, Sourav Saha as Anirban and Shaoli Chatterjee as Ira. It is produced by Tathagata Bhattacharya. Souvik Kundu is the Story Writer and Creative Director whereas Shanoli Debnath has done the Script.

The web series, Khanikta Premer Moto is an ideal, romantic fairy tale. The series will narrate how a breakup getaway gone wrong turns into a matchmaking mission when two unexpected lovers team up to fix Ujaan and Mohona’s love story because even imperfect couples deserve a perfect reunion.

Khanikta Premer Moto will present actors, Rahul Dev Bose in the character of Ujan, Megha Chowdhury as Mohona, Avery Singha Roy as Shreya, Durbar Sharma in the character of Priyam, Rishav Chakraborty as Soumya, Moupiya Goswami as Sohini, Ayan Bhattacharya as the Boss and Debi Saha as Srabanti. Khanikta Premer Moto is directed by Rahool Mukherjee, Proloy Sarkar has composed the Music and Ayan Bhattacharya is the Producer.

Interestingly revealing the universal conflict between the destiny and reality, the web series Ichchepuran will entail the story of an ordinary life insurance agent who wishes for a prompt prosperity. He discovers a mysterious stone which imparts him sudden success but with dark luck. The debt-ridden life insurance agent faces a moral reckoning which forces him to choose compassion over cursed prosperity.

Ichchepuran is directed by Haranath Chakraborty. In the web series the viewers will see the actors, Debraj Bhattacharya as Apurba, Ishani Sengupta as Apurba’s wife, Aparna, Shankar Debnath as Bhootnath, Korok Samanta as Sadananda, Anindita Bhadra as Shiuli, Rutvik as Bilu, Anirban Bhattacharya as Ratan, Soumen Dutta as Ashok, Avijit Guha as Zonal Manager, Rana Basu Thakur as Mr Karlekar, Rupkatha Kuila as Jhimli and Pradip Bhattacharya as Tea Man.

Lastly, Swargarath Sargaram is a heart-warming chronicle of a middle-aged man’s desperate quest to support his family which takes an unexpected turn when he buys a third-hand hearse. This initiative which he undertakes for the sake of his family’s welfare sinks him into the huge wave of controversies and superstitions. With his probity and deep faith he overcomes all the struggle and brings a change in both the notions and luck of his village people.

Swargarath Sargaram is directed by Arijeet Toton Chakraborty. The web series will present the actors, Lokenath Dey, Pradip Dhar, Taranga Sarkar, Pushan Dasgupta, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and Arshiya Mukherjee in poignant roles.

With the advent of the new year, Platform 8 is going to premiere Nisith Sen; an anecdote of mystery and fear on 2nd January, 2026 whereas to celebrate the essence and the appealing beauty of love and romance, Platform 8 will be streaming Khanikta Premer Moto on 14th February, 2026.

Other than this, Morali, Patal Jhor and Amar are the other forthcoming web series which are soon going to hit the prestigious OTT platform.
