Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey Official Trailer Launched

Riding high on the tremendous response to its teaser and a string of song releases, the makers of Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey have now unveiled the film’s official trailer at a grand launch event in Kolkata. Directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by SVF Entertainment and DCM, the film has been steadily amplifying audience anticipation through its evocative music and striking visuals. All this momentum now culminates in the trailer release, ahead of the film’s theatrical arrival on 25th December 2025.

The trailer expanded the film’s canvas, presenting a layered narrative that explored the journey and mystery surrounding Mahaprabhu Chaitanya across three distinct timelines. It moved from the era of Mahaprabhu to the world of Binodini Dasi and Girish Ghosh, before transitioning into the present day where Rai is seen making a film on the life of Mahaprabhu. Each era carried its own emotional and philosophical weight, collectively reflecting how faith, performance and reinterpretation transcend time.

Anchoring these shifting timelines was a strong ensemble cast led by Dibyojyoti Dutta, Subhashree Ganguly, Ishaa Saha, Indraneil Sengupta, Bratya Basu, Ananya Banerjee, Aratrika Maity, Alakananda Guha and others. The trailer offered glimpses of their characters across different narrative zones, hinting at the emotional depth and complexity that defined the film.

Music, which has already emerged as one of the film’s strongest pillars, continued to play a defining role in the trailer. Composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, the film featured an expansive soundtrack of over 15 songs. The album brought together some of the most celebrated voices in Indian music, including Kabir Suman,Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Jayati Chakraborty and Padma Palash. The trailer opened with the evocative voice of Arijit Singh, immediately setting a mood of devotion and introspection that resonated with the film’s thematic core.

The trailer was unveiled at a special launch event, where Rana Sarkar and Srijit Mukherji addressed the audience and reflected on the film’s journey, as well as the strong response the music has already garnered. Their words set a thoughtful tone for the evening, which continued with live musical performances by Padma Palash and Jayati Chakraborty, lending a celebratory and immersive feel to the occasion. Veteran National Award-Winning Kabir Suman was also present at the launch and graciously sang a few lines, elevating the moment further. His presence made the evening truly memorable and profoundly enriching.

The cast subsequently joined them on stage for the official trailer reveal. With the trailer now unveiled, Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey enters the final leg of its journey to the big screen, poised as a cinematic exploration of faith, art and time, ahead of its Christmas Day release on 25th December 2025.
