Hoichoi, the leading Bengali entertainment platform, has just released the highly anticipated first look video for its upcoming original horror series, Nishir Daak. This spine-tingling production promises to deliver a truly unforgettable horror experience, weaving a chilling narrative with visuals designed to haunt audiences long after the credits roll.
Prepare to be drawn into a world where ancient curses and supernatural dread lurk in every shadow. Nishir Daak introduces a group of unsuspecting youngsters who inadvertently stumble into a village steeped in ominous folklore. Whispers among the terrified locals warn of a terrifying truth: in this cursed place, the mere sound of music can summon an unspeakable demise.
The first look video plunges viewers into this unsettling atmosphere, with a particular focus on an ancient, dilapidated house. Its chandelier sways eerily above a room that villagers claim no human inhabits, suggesting a presence far more sinister. The pervasive stillness is intermittently shattered by fleeting, terrifying glimpses-a woman's hand with unnaturally long nails, a stark indicator of the inhuman entity that stalks the village.
The terror escalates as women discover a lifeless body hanging from a tree, another victim claimed by the chilling cry that reverberates through the night: "Ei grame Nishi Daake" (In this village, Nishi calls). This haunting phrase becomes the ominous refrain of the series, hinting at a malevolent force that preys on the unsuspecting.
With director Joydeep Mukherjee at the helm-returning with yet another gripping tale after his acclaimed works-Nishir Daak is poised to be a masterclass in suspense and psychological horror. The first look captures the dread through its haunting imagery and spine-tingling soundscapes, effectively establishing the pervasive atmosphere of fear that lies at the heart of the story.
Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, who returns with yet another gripping tale, Nishir Daak is set to release on 17th October 2025 exclusively on hoichoi.
