Aakash Aath, one of Bengal’s leading General Entertainment Channels (GEC), proudly announced Tollywood actors Ms Sudipta Banerjee and Ms Bulbuli Panja as the new hosts of their long-running and award-winning cookery show, ‘Radhuni’. The announcement coincided with the auspicious occasion of Ras Yatra, adding a festive flavour to this exciting new chapter of the show.
Marking this special day, the Ras Yatra episode of Radhuni featured Mr Debjit Goswami and Ms Devi Goswami, members of the renowned Baro Goswami Family of Shantipur, who shared their traditional family recipes that have been passed down through generations.
“Aakash Aath has always strived to bring refreshing and engaging content to its viewers. We are delighted to welcome Sudipta Banerjee and Bulbuli Panja as the new anchors of Radhuni. Their on-screen chemistry will add a new dimension to the show. We are confident that their presence will resonate deeply with our audience and continue to make Radhuni a household favourite,” said Ms Priyanka Surana Bardia, Director, Aakash Aath.
“It is truly a privilege to be part of Radhuni, a show that has become such an integral part of Bengal’s culinary legacy. This is not the first time I am hosting, but Radhuni feels special because it beautifully celebrates the emotion and warmth of home-cooked food. Cooking has always been close to my heart, it is more than just a daily practice, it is a way to express love and creativity. I am looking forward to connecting with viewers through something as universal and heartfelt as food,” said Ms Sudipta Banerjee.
“Having hosted several cooking shows over the years, I find Radhuni particularly intriguing. Even though I would not call myself a foodie, I have always seen cooking as a form of art, a beautiful process that combines culture, creativity and connection. Being part of Radhuni allows me to rediscover that artistry every day, alongside viewers who share the same curiosity and love for cuisine”, said Ms Bulbuli Panja.
Launched in 2008, Radhuni has successfully aired over 5,000 episodes to date. The show earned the prestigious recognition of being the Longest Running Cookery Show on Bengali Television by Women’s Times Magazine in 2021. Directed by Ms Pompi Mukherjee, this matinee program continues to present simple, homely recipes that celebrate Bengal’s culinary diversity while inspiring viewers to explore their passion for cooking.
Over the years, Radhuni has seen several popular names from the entertainment industry take on hosting duties, including Mallika Majumdar, Soumili Biswas, RJ Manali, Roopsha Chakraborty, and many others. The show has also featured numerous special guests and festive episodes highlighting Bengal’s traditional delicacies.
Aakash Aath telecasts Radhuni every Monday to Sunday at 1:30 pm.
