The world of Bengali television is set to witness a unique love story with Sun Bangla's upcoming show, 'Bhalobashar Rong Route'. At a recent press meet, the lead actors, Mishti and Indranil, shared insights into their unconventional characters and their journey behind the scenes.

A Challenging Debut: Mishti as the Lady Bus Driver

The biggest highlight of the show is its female protagonist. Mishti, who is making her acting debut with this serial, has taken on the bold role of a female bus driver.

"It was completely unexpected for me to start my career with a character like a bus driver," Mishti shared. "Initially, I was both excited and nervous about such a challenging role, but as the shooting progressed, the nervousness faded. I am learning something new every day." She also touched upon her past struggles, mentioning that she had almost given up on acting before this opportunity arrived via social media.

Breaking Stereotypes: Indranil as 'Rehan' the Male Nurse

Popular actor Indranil plays the character of Rehan, a male nurse. He expressed his excitement about playing a role that isn't commonly seen on television.

"As an actor, the more challenging and unique the character, the better it feels," Indranil remarked. To prepare for the role of a male nurse (often called a 'Brother' in hospitals), he did extensive research. Since data on male nurses is scarce online, he focused on observing how they assist doctors, check pulses, give injections, and handle medical equipment.

Praise for the Co-star

Indranil was full of praise for his co-star, Mishti. Despite being a newcomer, he noted that her energy on set is infectious. "Looking at her work, you wouldn't feel like she is a debutante with no prior television experience. She is incredibly serious and dedicated to her craft," he said.

Reflecting a Changing Society

During the interview, both actors discussed how the show reflects modern society, where professional boundaries between genders are blurring. Mishti noted, "I see female cab drivers and food delivery partners in Kolkata now. It's heartening to see that jobs are becoming flexible-women are doing what was once considered 'men's work,' and men are entering fields traditionally held by women."
